COTTON CASTLE



When going to Turkey, most tourist have in mind the image of the bright blue travertines of Pamukkale or known as “cotton castle”. The city contains hot springs and travertines, terraces of carbonatemineral left by the flowing water. It is located in Turkey’s Inner Aegean region, in the River Menderes valley. This cityhas a temperate climate for most of the year.

 




For this city, is has been a major industry because their hot springs and travertines realy attract the tourist. Futhermore, we also can bath in this pool and this activity have been started since thousand of years. At the mid-20th century, a hotel is built and its causing considerable damage to the cotton castle. When this cotton castle was declared as a World Heritage Site, the hotel were demolished and the road is removed and have been replaced with artificial pool. Wearing shoes in pool also prohibited to protect the world’s heritage.

Pamukkale’s terraces are made of travertine, a sedimentary rock deposited by water from the hot springs. There is 17 hot water springs with temperature range from 35 ‘C to 100’C.




Turkey largest city is Istanbul. Turkey was monopoly by the Turks by 75%, 18% from kurds. The official language of this country is Turkish. So when you want to go to  Turkey  makesure you know the basic of Turkish to avoided to be cheated. The total of the population are 75,627,384. The Turkish lira (TRY) is the currency of Turkey.
