NAMAQUALAND, SOUTH AFRICA.
I am a
biggest fan of a colourful flower and it will be my dream to go to the places
that the colourful flower and beautiful scenery has been their major industry.
So, this time I will pick Namaqualand in South Africa as my next destination.
Namaqualand
is a quite popular with both local and international tourist during early
springtime. In a short period this area becomes covered with a kaleidoscope of
colour during the flowering season. In spring, between August and October, the
orange, yellow and white Namaqualand daisies come out in a spectacular display
transforminf this dry, semi dessert into a carpet of colour. There are hundreds
of a flowering species in Namaqualand including daisy and others. There is a
small part of Namaqualand that known as the Richtersveld was declared as a
World Heritage Site. While the often-visited Namaqua National Park can be
visited by tourist at the opening season.
There is a
lot of different of Namaqualand in each season:
- · Summer- It is difficult for the tourist to imagine the phenomenon of the yearly wild flower appearance.
- · Winter rainfall- Namaqualand dons her coat of many colours and for a brief moment, the wildflower invade the countryside.
- · Autumn- there is a lot of a flower’s species that covered the Namaqualand in autumn seasons. At this time, Namaqualand is the most perfect places for vacation.
There is some suggested accomondation for tourist while visiting Namaqualand that is still in a beautiful scenery such as Biesjesfontein that is the perfect venue during flower season. A very tasteful designed log home. For the Halal food, there is Chinese Food Restaurant and Thai food Restaurant that served the halal food.
